Care & Maintenance
Daily Care
For everyday cleaning, simply use warm water and a cloth or sponge. For more stubborn cleanup, use common household cleaners such as 409®, Mr. Clean®, and Fantasik® and a non-abrasive Scotch-Brite® pad.
Sealing?
Element Quartz Surfaces™ do not require sealing. Unlike granite and marble, Element Quartz Surfaces™ are non-porous, so you can pass on ever having to seal your countertop. If sealer is applied, it will just remain on the surface and possibly alter the appearance of the finish. Because Element Quartz Surfaces™ are non-porous, it is exceptionally resistance to stains and other contaminants but we still recommend cleaning up any spills as soon as possible.
Cooking Preparations
The non-porous material helps in keeping the kitchen germ free making it safe enough to keep the food right on top of the countertop. Although Element Quartz Surfaces™ is highly heat resistance, we recommend the use of hot pads or trivets when placing hot pots or pans on your new Element Quartz Surfaces™. Element Quartz Surface™ is also highly resistant to scratches but we would still recommend the use of a cutting board when using a knife, as the quartz countertop will potentially dull your knife after regular usage.
